Okay! Real, blow-by-blow reaction time. Don't mind the non-s5 icon; without it I will have used the Eleven thumbs-up icon thrice in a row and it's all about eljay aesthetics.
( in which I basically try to convince you of something you probably already think anyway )

Nov. 24th, 2010 08:59 pmI am so good at Paint it's astounding.
The text says "BAD WOLF" of course. My pictures always get randomly resized so it's hard to tell...
( This was going to be a small assortment of gifs, and then it wasn't )
All my love to this show and to this fandom. <3
the big bang
Jun. 27th, 2010 12:21 amI thought about waiting to post anything until I could do a re-watch of 5x12 and 5x13, but we all know how charming my rambly nonsensical minute-by-minute reaction posts are! And I wouldn't want to deprive you of that. Plus there's no way I'm staying away from all your reaction posts after I finish, and if I read them before I write mine, it might color my own reactions. I mean, probably not, but maybe. I'm just stalling until my parents go to bed so I can pop in my earphones and press play and not feel bad for ignoring them or anything. Or be seen crying at a laptop screen. Which I kind of assume is going to happen at some point. Okay that's plenty, let's just do this thing.
( be warned: this post is way ridiculous. )
The beach was lovely, by the way; I've had a wonderful few days and soon I'll tell you about them. For now I'm going to go giggle some more about how adorable that was.

silence will fall
Jun. 19th, 2010 07:41 pmI've avoided spoilers like the plague. I've tried to keep from theorizing (but haven't much succeeded). I've watched ahead despite not knowing if I really wanted to, so I could be watching this now. I've mostly just prayed to not be completely disappointed. So okay. Here we go.
( show me your moves, Moffat. )

Jun. 15th, 2010 03:53 pmMy "something productive" was making myself lunch and texting Kyle about how much he's going to like "Vincent." Good enough!
I know absolutely nothing about this episode, except a rumor that it's Amy-lite (kind of sad) and a picture I stole a look at on the Doctor/Rose Fix community (kind of the opposite of sad!!!) so this will be an interesting reaction post for me to do. Well, no, I also know from the preview that Mr. Guy loves Miss Lady but hasn't told her yet or something? That could be good. Please let it be good.
( The Lodger )
Well, I enjoyed that. It's no "Amy's Choice" or "Vincent."
Kyle has just informed me via text: "I have liked this season of Doctor Who, though! Aside from a few poor episodes, I really have liked it!" I said I thought it was a fine season of TV, just not a particularly good season of Doctor who. (see what I did there?) But it's prompted me to take a look back and see how accurate that really is. So, let's see here...
( oh what the heck, let's just make this entry as long as possible. Under we go with a few pictures. )
So, flist, I'm curious. Pre-finale re-evaluation. Do you feel you've been too hard on this series? Not hard enough? Just the right amount of hard? How much hope do you have for the finale and for s6?

Jun. 15th, 2010 12:00 pmShameless plug: http://formspring.me/beingfacetious
Because my last several questions have been really dang boring and I knoooow you guys could do better, flist! So if you're bored...
Okay, does anyone else get these roll-over Gatlinburg ads on ElJay? "We're just a typical family!..." I swear to goodness, they are killing me.
And now I've been pressured into catching up on s5, so before I start Vincent and the Doctor here's a one-line reaction to the Hungry Earth/Cold Blood: I was bored, and then I was tempted with the idea of not being bored, and then I was devastated, and part of the reason why I was sad was because I didn't feel I was allowed to be sad enough. And that's maybe a little harsh, and sometime soon I'm going to unleash the rant about forgetting/memory loss that's been building since I watched those episodes, so more then.
Now onto what I'm promised is a really cathartic followup to those two!
( don't let me down, Vinny )
I'm going to do The Lodger in a separate post, after I go shower and maybe do something productive for a while. But eh, what's more productive than blubbering in front of a laptop screen about a 900-year-old alien? :)

Hi, my name is Catey and I need more icons realbadlike. (I replaced my only Nine/Rose icon with this Amy/Rory icon...? Ilovethemsomuch.)
I decided to do an Amy's Choice thoughts post separate from a Hungry Earth/Cold Blood post, because I can just sense that that will be pleeenty long enough on its own, and also, I absolutely freaking loved Amy's Choice.
( definitely this one )
Also, here's a comment meme!
If you comment on this entry, I shall...
1. Respond with something random about you.
2. Tell you which color you remind me of.
3. Tell you my first memory of you.
4. Tell you what animal you remind me of.
5. Ask you something I've always wondered about you.
6. Tell you my favorite thing about you.
7. Tell you my least favorite thing about you.
8. Challenge you to post this on your journal.

and the bottom fell out
May. 31st, 2010 06:05 pmDid I say this next post would be about something other than Doctor Who? Oh, well. I'm waiting on Dad to be ready to watch Amy's Choice with me, so I thought I'd take the time to post some thoughts on Vampires Of (In?) Venice. (My resolve to wait for BBCA was recently broken by the following factors: 1. BBCA randomly decided to take a week off?? Three weeks behind is excessive. 2. I HAVE GOT TO KNOW WHY YOU ALL HATE COLD BLOOD. IT'S KILLING ME.)
So, Vampires.
( Spoilers if you're even further behind than I am )
Now I've actually watched through Cold Blood, but I'm going to give it a day before I write on that. Best to let it stew a little. Or that might make me more upset.

May. 16th, 2010 12:50 amWhy have I gone so long without doing an update on my series five opinions? I've no idea. Here that all is, then, for anyone interested.
( but i was promised tea )
In other news, I've been off the mountain much of this week for new!school orientation and bumming around on the beach, and oh that was all just lovely. Transfer orientation is a bit ridiculous - I've been in college for two years so most of the information is really useless and the meetings are boring - but that campus is so nice and it was so warm and sunny all week, and guys I'm going to love it there. And registering for classes was, just, such a dream. In fact, here's a screenshot of my fall schedule:
( flippin' sweet )
In other-other-news, Kyle cooked me dinner last night, a week before my birthday, just for no reason except to have a date! He's such a sweetheart, literally. Not to mention the dinner was flipping fantastic: some kind of alfredo-y noodles with sausage and chicken. Who knew he was such a good cook? Not me. Bad thing to reveal so early; now I'll never bother to learn to cook, myself. :-p (not that after-two-and-a-half-years is early, I guess.)
That's about it for now, I guess. Oh, 3.94 this past semester; the professional writing teacher who hated me ruined my shot at a 4.0. Figures. But summer's here and life is good. What's new with you people?

♥ SEABIRD ♥
Seriously, this band's music IS passion. Passion personified. Or...passion musicified. They are incredible. They obviously pour so much time and care into their music and I so admire that. And it's just so much fun to listen to! They're wonderful. Check them out please.
The rest of this entry will be long and will include spoilers and several pictures, so. Under a cut we go!
( Geronimo...? )
All right, that got a bit out of hand. I'm going to leave it there and come back for more of an update later! The one with pictures! Basically, Sylvia, I'll wait for you to have time to comment on this before I have another post! So hurry it up! :-p
