Ten is upset about the subject matter of this entry.
On my third time watching The Eleventh Hour, two new thoughts/theories:
1. There's an awful lot of dialogue that the first time or so I thought was really clever and/or going to be important later on. Example: the whole bit about the duck pond. But now a lot of it just seems...completely superfluous. Useless. Mildly amusing, but just kind of...nothing.
2. Most of my problems with this episode and these characters are, then, The Moff's fault entirely.
3. Okay, honestly, this is just a theory, and I'm about 87% sure it's nothing to do with this, but: Russell T was, shall we say, a troubled genius, who pushed deadlines and didn't sleep in favor of
procrastinating on writing, and was very gay. The Moff is pretty stable, balanced, fine, and very straight - three sons, I think? Now, I'm not saying any of that has anything to do with how they're so different
and how much better RTD is. I just thought of it. They're basically opposite people! Can The Moff really be counted on to continue RTD's work?
Of course not, it's just a spin-off series.4. I'm not sure why I was so bent on thinking Jeff's gran is Amy's aunt. I don't think that anymore. But now my issue is where did her aunt go?
Not that I need another side character to not really care aboutThis watching was not helped, of course, by the fact that I got home and turned on BBC America just in time to see Ten go see Rose on Jan 1 2005 and then
die um turn golden.
Ooh and the little brother just pointed out that green is a different somethingorother in screwdrivers! Because the Master had one in series 3! And it was, like, bad! Well done, Phil.
