Because my last several questions have been really dang boring and I knoooow you guys could do better, flist! So if you're bored...
Okay, does anyone else get these roll-over Gatlinburg ads on ElJay? "We're just a typical family!..." I swear to goodness, they are killing me.
And now I've been pressured into catching up on s5, so before I start Vincent and the Doctor here's a one-line reaction to the Hungry Earth/Cold Blood: I was bored, and then I was tempted with the idea of not being bored, and then I was devastated, and part of the reason why I was sad was because I didn't feel I was allowed to be sad enough. And that's maybe a little harsh, and sometime soon I'm going to unleash the rant about forgetting/memory loss that's been building since I watched those episodes, so more then.
Now onto what I'm promised is a really cathartic followup to those two!
lol, snooty art museum guy. ♥ What! I want to see Arcadia! Not fair! Amyyyy :( Okay, already one of my favorite pre-titles scenes of the series. Shaping up nicely.
Oh, I'm sad about everyone making fun of his paintings :-( AAAAHAHAHA Amy. He's so self-deprecating. It hurts me. Why is this such a theme in s5 lately?
Ohhh, those are beautiful. (Also, Murraaaaay Goooold ♥) "I believe, if you look hard, there are more wonders in this universe than you could ever have dreamed of." Oh, my show. There you are. One of my favorite things about Who, that; the underlying theme that, time traveling aliens or not, the world is a gorgeous place.
ohGodthatwasscary. lol, Eleven. Way to go. !!! WHY IS HE PAINTING OVER IT! Oh please oh please let it be the Jabberwock please please please let it be the Jabberwock. LOL ELEVEN. I love him sooo much in this episode. I think I might love him generally. Look at me being a big girl and fessing up! He's a dear though, really.
Aww, how can they start to show us Doctors and only show the first two!? Geez, that's a bit more genuinely scary than the homoreptiliawhatevers. (Sidenot: this episode is beautiful! I mean the colors mostly. I don't know if it's because it's an artsy episode, if there's been extra effort put in, but it's gorgeous.
Ohh, there's depth in sunflowers. I love this episode.
Is he sad they'll be leaving? :( :( Guuuys. Oh! Why is he crying? Now I'm crying a little bit. :-\ I'm so nervous about the end of this series. I want the Doctor to be right, about hope.
Long brown coat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VINCENT VAN GOGH ROCKS.
Ohhh, Amy... "I understand." "I'm not sure I do." oh my God. Guys. (Still though, honestly, this is being handled beautifully. I was scared to death, but I was wrong!)
"Wow...what a whinger." xD Aaaahahahaha, Picasso! I'm really happy this episode isn't about him. He makes me mad. Sorry, art-liking friends. Doc's right. One eye either side of the face. Armed with over-confidence! There's my Doctor ♥
Okay, I haven't mentioned this since The Eleventh Hour, but I keep thinking it so: Eleven, I love your weirdo rubber face. With no offense meant to Matty, he looks somehow more alien than other Doctors. I like it. He's darling.
"In fact he seems to rather enjoy it." haaaahahahahaha. Someone on the production team has been reading fanfic.
!!!!! "Amy, Rory" "Who?" Ohhhhhh. It hurts.
He was just afraid. Oh, my show. I missed you.
"Everywhere we look, the complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes." I'm in love with this episode. It's so beautiful.
"And if you tire of this Doctor of yours, return and we shall have children by the dozen!" ahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Ohhhh, my god. I'm so happy they took him to see. Oh my God. His face. I can't stop crying. This is Doctor Who. I've never loved this show so much. Well, I have, but. Hold on, I'm writing it down, for me.
"He transformed the pain of his tormented life into ecstatic beauty. Pain is easy to portray but to use your passion and pain to portray the ecstacy and joy and magnificence of our world...no one had ever done it before. Perhaps no one ever will again...He was not only the world's greatest artist, but also one of the greatest men who ever lived."
Aaaamy why would you say that. Ouch, or that!
"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. Good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant."
For Amy. adlbkfalhuearulhrlufvlbhae Hahahaha, the ultimate ginger.
Oh my God, that was one of the most beautiful pieces of television I've ever seen. I hate that my reactions were so stupid but I can't think of anything else to add, either. That was perfect.
I'm going to do The Lodger in a separate post, after I go shower and maybe do something productive for a while. But eh, what's more productive than blubbering in front of a laptop screen about a 900-year-old alien? :)
