I KNOW YOU ALL THOUGHT THIS DAY WOULD NEVER COME BUT LOOK, HERE I AM, UPDATING.

...briefly.

1. I am the only person in the world who was not seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Sylvia in Singapore has seen it. My grandmother has seen it. My little brother has seen it twice with two different girls (I leave for one semester and look what happens...). I am broke and busy and ANGRY. I was planning to see it over Thanksgiving break because we're going to my uncle's and he's cool, but I forgot that they've recently had two kids, and parents don't take small kids to see Harry Potter. Conclusion: CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING, AGAIN. Maybe one day people will stop going "Catey!!! Why don't you want kids!?!? Kids will fill your life with joy!!"

2. I don't really not want kids because I can't see Harry Potter. That's reason number 4368 on my list.

3. Today at 2:00 I have a job interview. It's for a position as a writing tutor on campus. If you've met me, you know that this job is the absolute most perfect thing for me. Also the job I have now is completely crushing my spirit. That's a bit intense but I'm kind of serious about it. Anyway, if you're a praying type, I'd appreciate it. If you're not, maybe you could look up the phone number of the writing center and try some blackmail?

4. CHRISTMAS CAROL PREVIEW OMG
and
How in the world is it okay to go this long without new Doctor Who? I can't handle it.

5. Starting yet another DW rewatch with my friend Marli. She wasn't very into "Rose." But then "The End of the World" happened and by the end of the episode she was all "AWWWW I LOVE THEM THEY ARE SO CUTE THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOOD." It's powerful stuff, friends.

Okay, time to go write some responses to some crappy stories for non-fiction class. Have I mentioned how much I hate my non-fiction class?

6. I really hate my non-fiction class.

Oh! 7. Here's a preview for Sylvia of her sometime-coming-I-promise spam.2!

(it won't be that small)

I haven't seen Deathly Hallows yet, either, if that makes you feel any better. But I was planning on seeing it at some point over the holiday, which probably doesn't. Any way you could just borrow someone's car and nip out for a few hours during your stay at your Uncle's?

I might kidnap my brother and steal a car so we can have brother/sister bonding time. And not have to babysit the kiddies while my parents help unpack, as my uncle has just moved here. We'll see! MUST SEE IT

Mmm I haven't seen Harry Potter. Don't plan to. Not a fan. :D

Good luck on your job interview! Sounds like being a writing tutor would be interesting.

THAT PREVIEW OHMAIGAWD. I cannot believe how much I've missed new stuff, not counting the last two specials from 2009 that I haven't seen. Leave me to my denial for now, I'll get around to it.

LOL I've started two DW rewatches with a friend and my brother (been slow-going), and will start another for Christmas Break. Just keeps on reeling them in.

XD I just never read it, that's all. Been forced to see some of the movies, but never read them.

I hadn't even realized how much I've missed it until SJA threw Eleven back in my face. Life needs moar Doktah!

I haven't seen Deathly Hallows either! Don't worry. I really wanted to go when it premiered but nobody else wanted to so I'm just waiting until Thanksgiving break. :(

And, um, I definitely agree about the children thing. Definitely.

Good luck with your job interview!!!

I was kind of afraid to see it at the midnight release because I don't do well with crowds of moviegoers yelling and laughing and talking through the movie. It makes me insides go "RAAAAAWWWRRR."

Thank you! I think it went quite well!

I TOO STARTED A DW REWATCH YESTERDAY, INTRODUCING MY ROOMIE STEPH. And you know? The more I see it, the less satisfied I am with Rose as an opener. I'm not sure what it could have done better, as with hindsight I know plenty of things that should be obvious, but really aren't as a first time watcher, but... idk. The pacing is really wonky, I think.

YAY SIMULTANEOUS SLOW REWATCH. We've talked about the rest of this. lol, we're cool.

I feel the EXACT same way about children. I mean, I love them. But if anyone suggests I should ever have my own I kind of freak out and yell at them because DO NOT WANT.

Christmas Carol should come out right now. I need more Who immediately.

See, I don't even love them! I like them fine. We're spending thanksgiving with my aunt and uncle and they have two pretty small kids and they're pretty cute, but after spending three days with them...that will just be plenty. afjaefgl

Ooooh, I know how that is. We have all of my dad's side of the family staying with us for Thanksgiving, and that means four little kids (and several teenagers) in addition to my 7-year-old brother. Every single year I lock myself in my room as soon as I'm done eating, because as much as I love my cousins, they are waaaaay too much to deal with all at once.

Oh man, I should probably keep quiet, because I adore children. Like, I get that it's easy for me to see children in the supermarket and think they're adorable and want to take them home; it's another thing to actually have them yourself. But I want that. I do. I love kids because of how they see the world, unless they're brats, in which case, yeah, DNW. Clearly, I am not ready for any right now, but I will one day. But I don't think you should have them if you don't want them. I think that happens far too often, and that's why kids turn out so horrid sometimes. I know. I've been around a lot.

I need a flipping writing tutor. Probably not the kind of tutor you'd be, however, unless you can teach me how to write exponentially quicker. I'll pray for the job!

IT LOOKS SO GOOOOD. And usually, I could care less about the Christmas specials, to be perfectly honest.

Well, if it's any consolation, you'll hopefully be going to see Harry Potter when most of the idiots, who throw popcorn and such, won't be at the cinemas.

I know! I am missing new new!who so much I'm trawling the YouTube trying to find ANY videos of DW I HAVEN'T seen. It has been a very slow-going process.

Good luck with the job interview!

Good luck on your job interview! :)

YES for converting people into DW fans! It's true, TEOTW is one of my faves. The scene at the window, Rose watching the earth burn (with hand-holding), the "first date," SO much Doctor/Rose epic.

1. It is awfully awfully awfully awfully rare that I've seen a movie in the cinema that you haven't. THERE WERE A FEW TEENY KIDS IN THE CINEMA WHEN I WENT. Bribe your uncle.

2. Alumni giving you shtick? I WILL SEND THEM IMAGINARY THREATENING DAGGERS. (Okay, perhaps prayer works better.)

3. It's another month before we can meet Matty and Karen and Arthur and THE SPACE SHARK. It's ridiculous.

4. Series 1 rewatch, there's an idea. I should do that too!

5. How long more till the hated non-fiction class ends?

6. I ♥ YOUUUU
